Ko's Black Belt Belt Academy has been established in the Kansas Area for over 40 years. Grandmaster Ko Brought Tae Kwon Do from South Korea in 1976 and has taught his three sons the authentic tradition of martial arts. Their true passion for the martial arts and helping people show every day, in every class.

Grandmaster Oh has opened Ko's Black Belt Academy in Gardner 2006 and Olathe 2013. We place our students' positive experience and personal growth at the center of our teaching approach. Our instructors are the most positive and motivating instructors, focused on giving your family the best martial arts experience available.

Grandmaster Ko

Grandmaster Ko is an incarnation of martial arts excellence. He brought Tae Kwon Do from Korea in 1976, and has taught many black belts throughout the years with many accomplishments.

Master Steve has been teaching since 1998, and first opened his own school in 2006. He leverages dedication, a strong desire, and his history of accomplishments to successfully strengthen his students, both mentally and physically, and transform them into better people.

Doug McKinzie

Master Instructor

Master Mckinzie has been taking Tae Kwon Do since 1999 with his whole family. He received his 5th-degree black belt for Tae Kwon Do in 2015, and he is a 1st-degree black belt in Hap Ki Do.
